From May 16 to 17, 2025, Mr. Mykola Volkivskyi represented the Geneva Center for Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution (GCDCR) at the FII PRIORITY Europe Summit, held at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana, Albania. The summit gathered more than 500 global leaders, including heads of state, CEOs, investors, and visionaries, to discuss Europe’s strategic future and its role in driving global transformation.

The event opened with high-level conclaves and roundtables at the Tirana Marriott Hotel, followed by a welcome reception at the Xheko Imperial Hotel. The main day of programming on May 17 featured plenary discussions and keynote addresses at the Opera House, concluding with an official reception at the Triple D Rooftop Restaurant.

French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a keynote address, calling for bold structural reforms and investment strategies to ensure a more resilient and innovative Europe. Earlier in February 2025, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump spoke at the FII PRIORITY Summit in Miami, emphasizing the need for purpose-driven investment to tackle global instability and economic uncertainty.

GCDCR’s presence at FII PRIORITY Europe reflects its dedication to being part of strategic global forums where diplomacy, innovation, and policy intersect. In a world facing accelerating geopolitical and economic shifts, such platforms offer critical opportunities to promote the values of dialogue, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

“Engaging with international thought leaders and policymakers allows GCDCR to bring the voice of diplomacy into global investment and strategic planning conversations. Europe’s future, Africa’s emergence, and global peace are deeply interlinked,” noted Mr. Volkivskyi.
