Science Diplomacy

Geneva Center for Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution is the official Swiss branch of the Global Network Ukrainian Science Diaspora.

Our goals are multifaceted:

1. Support for Scientific Research: The network provides a platform for highlighting the results of scientific research of ukrainian social and human sciences in Switzerland.

2. Knowledge and Experience Exchange: Bringing scientists together fosters the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experience, which enhances the quality of scientific research and promotes innovation.

3. Attracting International Support: The network helps attract international support and funding for Ukrainian scientific projects, which is crucial for the restoration and development of Ukraine’s scientific infrastructure.

4. Maintaining Connections with Ukraine: Keeping strong ties with their homeland allows scientists to return to Ukraine and contribute to its recovery, utilizing their international experience and contacts.

5. Advocacy and Representation: The network acts as a representative body that can effectively advocate for the interests of Ukrainian scientists on the international stage and facilitate their integration into the global scientific community.

The network of Ukrainian Scholars plays a vital role in supporting and developing science, attracting resources and helping to rebuild Ukraine.

The initiator and manager of the Swiss branch of the Global Network Ukrainian Science Diaspora is Dr. Anastasiia Shevchenko, Senior FNS Researcher at the University of Lausanne
